Assessments

Functional Testing:

Physical Exams are an important part of your visit. After listening to your main concerns, symptoms and history, specific physical exams are used to gather more information. Vital signs may include blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, and temperature. Examinations of the head and neck, heart, lungs, abdomen, neurological system, and skin may be used as indicated.

Dr. Jessica ND uses Bioenergetic testing as non-invasive functional tools. These tools gather more information into underlying patterns. Such patterns could contribute to symptoms. Bioenergetic testing operates on the principle of resonance and quantum bioenergetics. Every cell and organ in the body emits its own electromagnetic field and communicates via energy and information pathways. The Bioenergetic testing uses scanning technology to detect energetic patterns by measuring how the body-field responds to specific informational signals. This response is compared to optimal energetic patterns and highlights areas where energy flow or communication may be disrupted.

Laboratory Testing:

Routine bloodwork is ordered for individuals at specific ages and individuals with risk factors. It is used to diagnose and monitor certain disease statuses. It also evaluates response or side effects to treatments.

Food sensitivity testing is an assessment tool using blood to identify immune reactions to specific foods. This is helpful in certain cases when inflammation may be aggravating current health status and to guide short-term dietary modifications.

Blood, urine and saliva may be used to assess hormones. Testing hormones is helpful to assess how one or more hormone pathway is contributing to your concerns. It may also be used to monitor response to certain treatments. Hormones tested include: estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, thyroid hormones, and metabolites.

Stool samples assess the level of inflammation and immune reactions. They evaluate the functions of digestion and absorption. They also examine the microbiome and the presence of pathogens (yeast, bacteria, virus, parasites).

Breath testing is helpful to identify pathogens present in the upper digestive system contributing to health concerns.

In addition to routine screening, blood may be use to further assess cardiovascular health and risk profile. Panels available include: lipoprotein and endothelial lining analysis.
